Record results of the third edition of the “Poland See More” campaign

About 110,000 tourists benefited from the offer of the autumn edition of “Poland See More – Weekend at Half Price”, which took place on 6-8 October 2017.

“This is a truly impressive figure, almost twice as large as the one achieved during the first edition held in September 2016. I am pleased that Poles are increasingly willing to benefit from an opportunity to discover the beauty of their country”, declared Minister of Sport and Tourism Witold Bańka.

“Poland See More – Weekend at Half Price” is a campaign jointly conducted by the Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The third edition drew the attention of 554 legal entities, which became involved in the campaign and offered their products and services at as much as 50% lower prices. 

“We are pleased that once again the campaign met with such a positive response across the whole country, both among tourists and partners of the event. Already today their majority declare a readiness to participate in successive editions”, said Robert Andrzejczyk, President of POT.

Weekend at half price as seen by tourists

The outcome of the third edition of “Poland See More – Weekend at Half Price” shows that almost every fourth Pole is familiar with the campaign. Moreover, as many as 87% of respondents indicated that they “benefited a lot” from participating in it, while 72.6% stressed that the greatest asset of “Poland See More – Weekend at Half Price” involved the prices of overnight stays and services. By taking part in the campaign each tourist saved an average of 72 PLN. Almost half of the participants also drew attention to the fact that joining the campaign was an excellent occasion to spend their free time with family members or friends. In turn, 42.3% accentuated that rendering the society more active proved to be another asset.

Partners pleased with the successive edition 

Service providers maintain that greatest profits from participating in the campaign include attractive advertisement and reaching out to new clients. More, almost 80% of the current campaign partners would recommend other industry entities to attend successive editions. Despite the fact that the campaign was conducted in a so-called low season the tourist sector made an additional profit of almost 8 million PLN!

86% of tourists responding to the questionnaire announced that they will take part in the successive edition of the campaign. POT and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism chose the dates of the succeeding editions of the “Poland See More – Weekend at Half Price” campaign.
