TTC is the largest organisation of independent travel advisors in the whole of the Netherlands. It has over 380 members, who operate throughout the Benelux. The clients of TTC members are people with a university education and salaries above the national average. They avoid places visited by masses of tourists, but are very keen to explore new, less famous destinations.

In September 2021, members of The Travel Club took part in a study visit to Gdańsk and the Pomerania region. “The visit was a great success, as the agents taking part underlined”, says Dominika Szulc, director of the POT International Offices in Amsterdam and Brussels.

During the workshop, which was held in a speed dating format, agents came up to the individual exhibitors’ tables in several-person groups. The POT office in Amsterdam prepared a 15-minute presentation for them, covering the best city trips on offer, active tourism as well as spa and wellness products, together with practical information such as current pandemic restrictions.

Especially strong interest was shown in short city trips (mainly those with direct flight connections with the Netherlands) and products for families and senior couples wishing to spend holidays combining natural surroundings with local excursions. In this case, the Lower Silesia and West Pomerania, Małopolska, Pomerania, Masuria and Podlasie regions garnered the most interest.
