Polish tourism promoted at the Polska Éire Festival

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin launched the fourth edition of the Polska Éire Festival. It was inaugurated by a family-friendly running event intended to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of Poland regaining independence and the days of Irish-Polish friendship.

The London-based office of Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) took part in the Polska Éire Run, which attracted close to 800 participants, successfully promoting both Poland and the assets of Polish tourism, including attractive active leisure options, a perfect match for the sports character of the Dublin event.

“Cooperation with diplomatic posts in Ireland and Great Britain is among the key areas of operations of the POT office in London. We acknowledge this synergy to be an enormous opportunity to effectively promote Poland and reach an even larger audience”, emphasizes Dorota Wojciechowska, Deputy Director of the POT office.

About 80 cultural, sports and business events all over the country have been planned as part of the Polska Éire Festival in Ireland. The London-based POT office will be present at select events, encouraging local residents to visit Poland more often for longer stays. Approx. 120,000 Poles currently reside in Ireland, creating a well-integrated and significant part of the Irish society. The Polska Éire is an annual celebration of the Polish-Irish friendship.
