Salone del Camper is a platform that associates enthusiasts of camper and active tourism, with particular emphasis on everyone interested in an eco-friendly style of living and travelling, ‘zero kilometre’ cooking and focusing on natural assets when exploring destinations. Taking into account the present-day trends, this particular group of tourists is dynamically growing. Consequently, the number of visitors recorded on the fair’s opening weekend was almost twice larger than last year’s figures.

Poland boasts a far-reaching offer matching the interests of RV fans who on average spend from three to six weeks on a single journey. In other words, they can tour all of Poland’s most important tourist highlights, from Kraków to Gdańsk, in one take.

On Sunday 15 September as part of the Viaggi, Incontri e Racconti section Michalina Seliga of Polish Tourism Organisation’s Rome-based International Office introduced fair visitors to a proposal combining everything that is best about Poland – the impressive historical and cultural portfolio of its key cities with one-of-a-kind diverse wildlife.

Involvement in the fair continues the trend of promotional undertakings aimed at the discussed target audience – this year, a fam trip staged by Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) inspired two articles in Plein Air, a bestselling magazine that covered the three-week RV trip to Poland undertaken by journalist Gianluca Ricci.

The 2019 edition of Salone del Camper recorded 130,000 visitors. The Polish stand was available for the entire duration of the fair that wrapped up on 22 September.
