Hungarian guests explore Mazury

Staged by Polish Tourism Organisation, a fam trip of a group of Hungarian tour operators and journalists was launched on Monday 24 June. The objective of the tour was to introduce Hungarians to Mazury (Masuria), a region they continue to have little awareness of.

The trip encompassed the whole spectrum of highlights that tourists can expect from Mazury with the offer aimed at families and active tourism as the leitmotif.

The tour enabled its participants to sightsee the lakeside resorts of Giżycko, Mikołajki and Mrągowo, whose charms they admired while enjoying a bicycle trip. A visit to the Deer Farm in Kosewo Górne and a tour of the Wolf’s Lair military headquarters proved particularly captivating.

Hungarian tour operators and journalists also participated in a kayaking cruise down the Krutynia river and a cruise down the Swan Route. An additional asset of the itinerary involved an overnight stay in a historical place - Ryn Castle.

The fam trip wrapped up on 28 June. Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT) worked on its arrangement with the Warmia and Mazury Regional Tourism Organisation.
