Polska Food Festival offered visitors a chance to sample and purchase Polish delicacies, become familiar with Polish culture, cuisine and, thanks to Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna - POT), tourist highlights. The POT stand also showcased the Opolskie voivodeship, which joined the festivities. Colouring pages and tastings of Polish sweets were arranged for the youngest guests. The presentation of Poland Food Festival’s special guest, Śląskie voivodeship (Silesia) represented by Marshal Office and Silesian Tourist Organisation, acted as the second seminal feature connected with tourism promotion. Silesia’s beautifully decorated stand showcased the ‘Silesian Tastes’ Culinary Route and products of regional manufacturers.

Other stands offered an opportunity to sample a wide range of eco-friendly and regional products, such as honey, meat products, gingerbread and local cider and beer. Children enjoyed many highlights inspired by the holidays, including workshops of decorating Christmas ball ornaments. The concert of Maria Pomianowska Ensemble acted as a noteworthy high point. Highlander ensembles Zwyrtnia and Czarna Góra also performed for music enthusiasts.

The Festival enjoyed huge popularity among Brussels residents, diplomats, staff of EU institutions and media representatives. Several thousand guests visited the Polish stand during the two-day event.

Polska Food Festival was organized by the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Agricultural Property Agency, Polish Institute in Brussels, Polish Tourism Organisation and Śląskie Voivodeship.
