The X Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors

AKP_2010On 4 November 2010, in the prestigious halls of the Municipality of Cracow took place the X Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors.
The Gala’s grand opening was made by Jacek Majchrowski, The President of Cracow together with Bartłomiej Walas, Vice President of The Polish Tourist Organisation and Piotr Wilczek, President of The Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association. Janusz Lipkowski, The Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme Chairman also took the floor and Elżbieta Wyrwicz, representative of The Ministry of Sport and Tourism, on behalf of Katarzyna Sobierajska (Under Secretary of State in The  Ministry of Sport and Tourism) read the congratulatory letter.

Among the gala’s guests were: Government representatives, scientific world representatives, media and the tourism sector representatives.
After the ceremony Jacek Wójcicki with his band performed for invited guests. During the banquet the artists of the local cabaret “Piwnica pod baranami” (“Cellar of the Rams”) presented their programme.

This year 17 esteemed personalities from the world of science, who helped to organise meetings in Poland in 2007-2010, joined the Polish Congress Ambassadors group. Among them:
