On 28.08 – 01.09.2010 in Tampere, Finland the 24th edition of ECM Summer School there took place the . We were there, to invite for the next edition in 2011 to Poland, which has recently enjoyed great interest among the associations and is chosen to host their meetings. In May 2007 ESNEP conference was organised in Warsaw by SITE, in October 2009 in Cracow during the European Chapter Leaders Forum met members of MPI European board branches and at the beginning of 2010 DMAI carried out Destination Sales Training in Gdańsk. In 2011, 2 ICCA’s conferences and ECM Summer School are confirmed.ECM Summer School is organised annually in different European cities for staff of convention bureaux, national tourism organisations, convention centres, hotels, businesses PCO and DMC. The main goal of the training is to disseminate knowledge and skills connected with destination marketing.
46 representatives of 17 European countries met in Tampere, among them 5 Polish representatives from Gdańsk Convention Bureau and Palace of Culture and Science. Aneta Książek from The Convention Bureau of Poland joined, to invite for the next ECM Summer School to Poland.
In Tampere Aneta presented film promoting Poland, specially prepared recording with impressions of CBP team from previous training, in which they participated in previous years and gave personal invitation to Cracow, where the 25th anniversary edition of ECM Summer School 2011 he will be held.
ECM Summer School 2011 will be organised with local support of Kraków Convention Bureau on 27 – 31.08.2011. We hope that the event will be attended by 80 people.
