On 20-23 April 2010 in Warsaw, in EXPO XXI Warsaw International Expocentre European Wind Energy Conference EWEC 2010 was held. This conference is organized year by year by European Wind Energy Association, engaged in the exploitation of wind energy in the world. Day before the opening conference there were “Polish day” meeting dedicated to problems and challenges facing the wind power industry in the Polish market, in which 1000 people took place.EXPO professionally prepared their halls for EWEC 2010, in accordance with the requirements of Sustainable Meetings Standards BS 8901 posed by the organizers. On this year conference met wind industry decision-makers, professionals and technical experts from around the world. During 4 days halls of EXPO XXI were the scene of the exchange of information on new trends in the wind energy industry: influence of the wind power industry on the technological development, the climate protection, the energetic independence and the growth of business and employment opportunities.
Warsaw was prepared to accept 6000 people. In view of the congestion caused by volcanic eruption in Iceland in Warsaw reached 3000 participants. European Wind Energy Association made EWEC 2010 possible to track the online sessions.
