European Commission launched a new interactive tool intended to provide the latest information on options of travelling to EU member states, lifted restrictions, free movement, quarantine requirements and the overall health situation. Re-Open EU is available in 24 languages.
To facilitate planning trips and holidays in Europe, European Commission launched the Re-Open EU platform, an interactive tool publishing frequent updates essential for travelling to EU member states. The portal is an excellent source of information both for EU residents and travellers from third countries, such as Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Ruanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and China. Starting with 1 July, EU member states should gradually start lifting travel restrictions for residents of the countries listed above, subject to confirmation of reciprocity. Residents of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican should be considered as EU residents for the purpose of Re-open EU. The list of countries will continue to be reviewed and, as the case may be, updated every two weeks.
Visitors to Re-open EU will find essential information for planning trips and holidays in Europe and staying safe and healthy. The portal addresses frequently asked questions about, i.a. entering a given country when travelling for leisure purposes, required health certificates, accepted means of transport, introduced freedom of movement restrictions, mandatory quarantine for international arrivals, as well as all additional restrictions.
