On 14 November Polish Tourism Organisation staged a ceremonious dinner in Nur Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, offering its guests a chance to discover Poland as a destination that is not only attractive from a tourist viewpoint, but also tastefully inspiring.

Arranged by Polish Tourism Organisation International Office in Moscow, the meeting gathered close to 60 participants, including delegates of Kazakhstan tour operators and media – journalists and bloggers. Poland was represented by Selim Chazbijewicz, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Kazakhstan, Anita Staszkiewicz, Consul of the Republic of Poland in Nur Sultan, Katarzyna Ostrowska, President of the Union of Poles in Kazakhstan, Julia Horodecka, Head of Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Kazakhstan, and delegates of Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) – Artur Murawski, Deputy Head of its Moscow-based International Office, and specialist Jan Pfau.

The ceremonious dinner under the theme of “Poland. Spice up your travel!” was prepared by Krzysztof Salawa, chef of PINO and PINO Garden restaurants in Kraków. The menu featured. i.a. proziaki soda bread with bryndza sheep milk cheese and smoked trout from Ojców, white borscht soup with półgęsek smoked goose breast, beef roulade stuffed with pickled vegetables, roast beetroot and spelt salad, as well as rosemary crumble with brown butter.

Following a decision made by Robert Andrzejczyk, President of Polish Tourism Organisation, starting with this year the activity scope of POT’s Moscow-based International Office also encompasses intensified promotional operations in the Kazakhstan market.

Kazakhstan today is the most dynamically developing economic centre of Central Asia, while the modern city of Nur Sultan is among the crucial business capitals of the region. Direct connections launched in 2017 by LOT Polish Airlines (four flights a week) made it possible to unleash the huge potential of leisure and business trips between the two discussed destinations.
