"I Like Poland" project in 12 Asian cities
The Regional and Local Tourist Organisations were represented by Furnel Travel International, Melody Tours, Poland Tour, Local Tourist Organisation of Płock and Dwór Sieraków. Additionally the meeting was attended by the representatives of the Polish Embassy in Delhi and Consulate in Mumbai. 200 people from the Indian tourist sector, meetings industry and journalists participated in 3 presentations.
Another cycle of presentations was scheduled for 3-5 September 2013 in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou for a total of ca. 100 representatives of the Chinese tourist sector and meetings industry. The presentations were supported by the presence of the deputy president of POT, Ms Elżbieta Wąsowicz-Zaborek, and the representatives of Polish diplomatic posts in China, which gave the meetings the prestige they deserve. The industry associations were represented by ICP Group and Mazurkas Travel and moreover Holiday Travel, New World, CT Poland and a representative of the LOT Polish Airlines.
On 10 - 13 September 2013 a third roadshow presentation, conducted jointly for the tourism industry and for the organizers of events and meetings in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo took place. The companies representing industry associations: Maestro Meetings&Incentives, Teja Tur and Holiday Travel presented the Polish convention industry. Representatives of Regional and Local Tourism Organisations (RTO and LTO) included: Furnel Travel International, Poland Tour, Local Tourist Organisation of Płock, Profi – Tour oraz Melody Tours. The number of Japanese representatives of the tourism industry, the convention industry and journalists that participated in the 3 presentations reached about 100 people.
The form of the presentations provides also for a presentation of the PCB of the Polish Tourist Organisation and its partners, as well as the time devoted to workshops and individual business talks. The agenda of each presentation covers a contest about Poland; the prizes include not only gifts, but also weekend stays in Poland funded by Polish partners.
